I recently purchased a an Aluma Motorcycle Trailer so I can tow my Road King behind our Motorhome. It's a really nice trailer except for one thing... The wheel chock that comes with it really sucks!!! Can anyone suggest a decent chock that can put a lock down on the front wheel for better, safer towing. Any reasonable suggestion would be most welcomed.... Thanks...
many posts on this, but condor, Harley sells one now that looks like condor. HF has some options that are pretty good. Do a search and you will find tons of advice on wheel chocks..
Have used the HF one for years; it's inexpensive and sturdy.
Have used the Condor for years; it's more expensive, sturdy, & LIGHT.
Have used the Pingel; works OK, but not as secure as the others.
The WheelDock is seriously secure.
Assuming you have the aluminum floor on your trailer. I'd still put a piece of metal running at least the width of the tie-down bolts and the chock-hold bolts to spread the load tension across more space and relieve any chance of bolt tension creating stress points on the flooring.
Thanks for all the input everyone. It does have an aluminum floor, but also has a really decent frame structure underneath it so I'm not too worried about it.
