If I remember right they are 1/4 20. I took one of mine to our local Ace Hardware, and matched it up. I also went with chromed Allen Head also little dab of never sieze.

It's been a few months, but I'm pretty sure it was 1/4-20. I took one the good ones I got out, to Ace Hardware also. Don't get the screws any longer than the originals tho. I did the first time. And they were not that much longer. They bottomed out before tighting up.Also tried to use Chrome washers. They would not fit either. To big around. I ended up taking it all back, getting shorter screws and using the small slim washers that came with the new derby cover I was putting back on. As far as looks, I like the Allen heads better.

I have mine turned out 1 full turn and it still grabs about 3/4 of the way out from grip, Can I go more than 1 turn out to bring it closer??? I have the HD ez clutch mechanism installed, does anybody know if that could be messing with the adjustment??

Be sure the freeplay in the cable is set to the minimum. When you do it, turn bars lock to lock to insure there is a little play. If you take all the play out it will spin the small throwout bearing all the time or worst let the clutch slip. Also be sure when you turn out only go 3/4 turn and do it a few time in and out as you work leaver to insure your are actually coming from when all play is out and then back 3/4 turn. Then the lever free play as describe. Bet your clutch will grab closer to bar then.

Thanks for the reply...I loosened the cable to the max as per intsructions I have read here on the forum.. ...so your saying no freeplay (take all play out) at lever when i adjust the clutch pack?? Work lever as I adjust the screw to a final setting of 3/4 out, tighten jam nut and adjust lever freeplay........

Did not mean to if you read that. Just started there. Terms may not be correct for order. Shorten (loosen) cable so it loose at lever stop with two nuts under the boot on the cable. Adjust 3/4 under derby cover. Then lengthen cable like I describe to minimum in post.
