I tend to wave/thumbs up/acknowledge those drivers who do wait for me to pass before pulling into the street, taking their left hand turn, etc... I'm thankful they didn't kill me, and my hope is that it helps them be aware and wait for bikers in the future.

 

I've put the CeeBailey's lens covers on my passing lights. They are amber, and I've noticed that people out there a ways can actually see you better, at least they seem to take notice. Thanks to all for the kind comments. I'm just glad it wasn't my time. We can't be too cautious, and there's virtually nothing you can do when these idiots just plow out in front of you. I really don't want to hear another story about losing a friend, riding buddy, or loved one because of some careless knucklehead not paying attention. I've heard enough over the years. I just don't want it to happen! I guess we all know the risk, but heightened awareness certainly can't hurt. Be safe my friends....

Wanted to pass a simi. When I went for it. He put on the blinker left turn in a lot 1/2 mile away. I backed down and waited. glad I did, Did he see me, I think so!
