I'm looking at possibly purchasing an 01 EG Classic. Bike has 15 K on the clock and is FI. Any inherent problems I should look out for?? Also, the bike has an air guage in the dash (looks factory).....what is this for? Thanks in advance.

Reason: Added info.
I am sure others will chime in, but from what I understand from reading here..
I think the 2001's have a different brand/style of Fuel Injection, it is also my understanding that those as not as customizable, but not sure to what extent. I think HD moved to Delphi in 2002 that is supposedly a little easier to work with. From reading past posts here, many people reported having very good luck with the older style of FI.
I have a 2003 Electra Glide Classic, only air gauge I have is the useless outside temp gauge. I think it says Air Temp.
Also, other can confirm, but on these engines, we need to keep an eye on the cam tensioners.
Others can back me up or correct me.
I just bought the 03 a few weeks ago, my brain is still overloaded from reading!
If the price is right, the mileage is certainly low mileage for a 11 year old bike. I would say go for it if that's what you can afford. I would give it a good going over, change oil(s) plugs, etc. It certainly would not hurt to have the chain tensioners checked. Both the cam and primary chain. Those are really only the weak spots. I would make sure the tires aren't dry rotted or cracked also.
After that, I would ride the **** out of the ol' girl! Enjoy!

I'm pretty sure that the early twin-cams had a serious issue with the inner cam bearings failing and destroying the engines. You might want to check into this further and get them upgraded ASAP if applicable. If so, you might also consider upgrading to the hydraulic cam chain tensioner while they're replacing those bearings, too.
Check the bike over and go for it. You will love it. Always anticipate a possible issue when buying any used bike so your mentally and finacialy prepared.
Haven't had any problems at all with my 01 EGC other than a blown front fork seal(My fault).
If you are buying from a private party see if they will let you or take it themselves to a reputable indy to have the bike given the once over before you buy it. If not and this is just me....move along.
