I'm almost embarassed to post this question but I need help getting my Battery Tender Jr. to work with my 2012 SG.
On the right side of the bike, under the seat, there's a wire which I can connect my Battery Tender Jr. to. My goal is to keep the battery on a trickle charge.
On 2 occassions, after connecting the Battery Tender Jr. to this wire, I'll leave the garage, come back the next morning and the Battery Tender Jr's light is still flashing which means, there's no charge going on.
The battery tender is very reliable. Some of the best money I have ever spent. Check to see that the tender pig tail is VERY well connected to the battery. Make sure battery terminal connections are nice & snug.

What am I doing wrong?
Thanks!

..whoa..I have never had a flashing red on mine...always just steady red until charged...then it turns green...might be something wrong with the charger...hook it up to your car battery and see if it still flashes red..if it does...throw it out and get a new one...
Flashing red means the cable is not making good contact at the connection, or at the battery terminals. Happens to mine occasionally--I disconnect, then re-connect the pigtail, and it usually works.
Red when not connected, red and yellow when charging, red and green when fully charged.
Check battery connections and make sure fuse is good and fully seated. I had one with a bad fuse straight out of the box. When I had no lights on the tender it was the last thing I checked, being it was new.
mine did the same thing, found out i had a bad cell in my battery, which was only 3 months old, might want to check that first, before pitching your charger. the dealer took care of it for me no charge.
