Those calculators are general and don't take into account the specific data relating to a given brand and size of tyre, some are also car specific, not bike.
A 180/65-16 is 25.3 tall & a 180/55-18 is 26.1 tall, so it will raise bike about 3/8". All you have to do is check the tire manufacturers website for specs, they vary from one to another. The specs I gave are for Dunlops, they're the only one that makes a 180-18 in bias, the radials are more of a sport-cruiser & don't last near as long, like 5-8K miles.
