Default Floor jack?

I have a floor jack...one of those that you get at Sam's or Searswith a foot paddle you raise it with.... I have used it for my lowrider,my Corvette and now I'm wondering if there is an issue where the frame meets the flat part of the jack on the road king.
Has anyone had any problems with these types of jacks?

Mine came with 4 rubber mounts that I used on my Wide Glide. They attach to the frame of the bike. I think they were just because the frame was uneven on the FX frames. It looks like the Road King frame is flat all the way on the 4 points of contact with the jack.
Any special way you get it to sit level while your putting the jack up ? The WG was alot lighter and I just left it on the stand and raised it up slow.

I have one of those Sear floor jacks I use on my ATV's but never thought of using it on the bike. Unfortunately my jack and ATV's are 200 miles away from where I keep the RK but I could bring it here to use. When you use a jack like this do you strap the bike to the jack?

I have been looking at the PitBull jack or J&S but if the Sears works ok I'll just transport it here and put the money in handlebars!

I also have the HF yellow jack, it has rubber strips that contact the frame so there is no slide. With practice you will find the sweet spot to place the jack where the weight is about equal fore and aft and the bike will be very stable. I do not tie mine down, but I do set the lift locks when it is raised. Just always be sure you have the jack far enough under it where the opposite side gets a good bite, an inch or so is good.
Oh, and from time to time I lay my jack on its side and lube the wheels with a little oil to make rolling the jack with the bike on it around a little easier...

Having trouble understanding exactly what kind of jack you have. I certainly wouldn't try to raise a car with either of my bike jacks but maybe yours is strong enough to do that.
Anyways, I usually put the rear lift platform underneath the frame cross-member which is just behind the oil pan underneath the bike. That usually centers the bike enough that it's pretty well balanced on the jack. I always check for balance before I raise the bike fully.

Ditto and once jack starts to raise the bike I inspect both sides to make sure all 4 contact points are good. If so I lift the bike. If not I lower and adjust.

Sure doesn't look stable to me. Caption should be: Wild man raises Harley on Sears yellow jack. Get back boys, give him plenty of room!
