Default Anyone replace tall boy with a rd zepplin?

Just looking for something to help with some minor tailbone discomfort. Not really sure if I want to move forward any. Any feedback appreciated. Thanks.

Rick

I recently installed the Road Zeppelin on my 2010 Limited. I have tried many a different seat, but the RZ gives me the best overall ride. I weigh in at a hefty 240#. I have taken two long trips to test it out. One day I spent 12 hours in the saddle & the next I spent 11 hours. For me the first 3 hours go fairly well, and that is the point at which I have to get off and stretch. In the end, what hurts on me after this long of a period is my right cheek bone (butt cheek). No change in air pressure setting helps. Feet up on pegs or boards, nothing helps. There is a limit to how long one can just sit and sit. The Mustang I had moved me onto the tank, but it was somewhat more comfortable over the stock seat. The RZ put me back where I needed to be to allow my arms and shoulders to relax in a normal position, thus reducing shoulder and neck strain. The height was maintained to clearly look over my 10" windshield. It is 3" wider than most seats and the nose of the seat is generously wider as well. At 6' 1" tall I can still easily place my feet flat on the ground, but it is noticeably wider (thicker) in the crotch area. In summary, I like this seat the best over 2 different stock seats, an H-D Deep Bucket Sundowner, and a Mustang Wide Touring seat.

Default went the other way

I was trying to work out my seat and hand position after getting my RK. I'm 6-4, with 35" inseam. Went stock to tall boy, didn't like position, sold it and bought Air Zep. Loved the comfort and height of Zep but pushed me forward and felt like I was hugging the tank. It did raise me up at least an inch, and forward. It was comfy though. People suggested I try the tall boy again and switch out my bars to heritage style. Could not be happier. That is unless they made a tallboy with air.
