1st gear too high. What's changed?

1st gear too high. What's changed?
I've previously had a 2001 Ultra Classic, 2004 ElectraGlide standard and now a 2010 Road King. I love the new frame and all of the other improvements but why is 1st gear so high? I. I keep reading about the gearing being high on the 07 and 08 models but supposedly the MOCO fixed it. has anyone changed out the gearing on these newer bikes?

When I installed a Baker DD6 in my scooter, I had the choice of standard first gear or a little higher. I went with the higher one to go with the larger engine build. It's just matter of sliding different gears on the mainshaft.
