I am about t buy a King Tour Pak, and really like the one that comes on the 2011 RG Ultra. The thing is I cannot find it in the parts catalog or online. The local dealer tells me that what I am asking for does not exist.
The RG Ultra tour-pak looks to have the side running lights, no break lights, two antennas, and an emblem on the back that is close to the SG tank emblem.
Mike,
As far as i know the tour paks are standard units in a few sizes and options
King Ultra..Big Box with rear lights, side lights. You add the luggage rack
Classic Box..Big Box,no lights..no side lights but you can add them..luggage rack optional
Chopped Box...Same top lid as King and Classic, lower section is shorter
Razor Box (Pizza Box) uses same lid again but much smaller...
Dont know why you cant find what you are looking for in the free parts book at your dealer it should show you all sizes and options...
Hope you find what you are looking for... :-)
I just put a King Tourpak on my Road King about a year ago. EVERYTHING for it is ordered separately. The mount, lock, backrest, luggage rack, lights, antennas - EVERYTHING is an option! Unless you have the dealer assemble everything for you, you'll have to "put it together" yourself. NO BIGGIE!
There is no Road Glide tourpak kit that I am aware of. Go to the dealer (or use the catalog), pick out what you want and order the pieces.
BTW - DO IT NOW! Once the new catalogs come out (any day now) the new prices come out with it!
You won't be able to find a PN for a tour pak with just the side lights because HD makes the side lights as an "add-on". The PN for the side lights is 59349-97, order that with the tour pak you want and you should be good to go.. Hope that helps!!
Yeah, when I bought mine, they asked me if I wanted the lights too. I opted not to and mounted it to a detachable mount a friend gave me. I liked the plain look myself.
The plane king tour pak that I ordered is 79071-09CPC. If you go to HD website & enter that number, it will bring up the page with the plane king tour paks. You then need to scroll down until you find the one that matches your paint color. I ordered mine through www.cyclepartsforless.com, this is actually "Kutter HD in WI. HD's website says the price is $799.95 but on this website, they give you a nice price break as well as free shipping if you spend more than $100.00. I actually paid $621.71 for the tour pak. They say it's a 20 lead time plus shipping time. I already have the detachable rack for my bike but I'm going to install a backrest pad from a chopped TP cuz the wifey don't like the wrap-around backrest!!

I just ordered one from New Castle shipped to Texas: $70.44 http://shop.newcastlehd.com/
How does that medallion go onto the TP? Is it stick on or do you need to drill holes for it?? TIA
