So I've had my '07 Ultra for just over a year now and just approaching 30K on the clock, with just over 10K mine. My bike was purchased with the stock headers with Rinehart slip-ons. Not long ago I replaced the stock headers with V & H True Dual headers due to a cracked "Y" pipe. Kept the Rineharts and like the way the bike sounds and feels. However I am noticing, with increasing frequency, a ping while under load and in the higher gears. I never noticed this before, and am wondering if the Stage 1 download would be adequate for the new headers? Is the Stage 1 taylored in any way to accomodate different exhaust or is it the same regardless?
Other question, although I really can't afford it right now, would a fuel management system like PCV or other, eliminate this condition?
if there was no ping before, yea you probably need a fuel management system and a tune. I know it's pricy but the tmax w auto tune fixed my pinging with slight adjustments to timing.

How much is a slight adjustment, I assume you retarded the timing, by what, a full point, 2 points, less than a point?
