The road glide isn't a bad bike-------------It just takes me back to the vetter fairing that all the guys had in the 70s,you know the ones that the only modification they could do is the fairing. Most of them also drove a pinto or a vega in the winter.I just can't get thru that.If you were not around in the 70s it should be fine. But I was and seeing a cookie cutter fairing on a 750 supersport honda parked by a harley both sporting vetters just ruined it for me
I wonder how many people on here even know what a Pinto or Vega is/was. lol

The Vetter fairings were stylish, well design, quality products. I think their quality and flexibility far eclipses what manufacturers offer in their integrated products today.
The Road Glide is the only fairing-equipped HD bike I would buy. The batwing is just a glorified windshield and from an engineering perspective, the worst place to throw 30-40 lbs on a bike. There, I said it

This forum is so damn funny, it just cracks me up all the time. And count me in for owning a Pinto - yep there I said it. I had a dark green one, and it was a fast little bugger at that. It had a German V6 that had lots of torque but then again back in those days a stock Corvette only had 190HP. Emissions were a killer, kind of like stock bikes of today.
to the OP, please post a picture of you new bike when you get it this Friday so that we can get another round of enjoyable comments.
Well, I was around in the 70s and you wouldn't catch me dead in a pinto, GREMLIN baby, AMC was 20 tears ahead of their time. Vetter sold the patent for the Gremlin and the Pacer to AMC, with that pedigree in am all in.

HAH! I was thinking about the Gremlin too when they mentioned the Pinto & Vega. My GF had one - tripping ***** one night when the thing caught fire (electrical) in a 7/11 parking lot - totaled. We laughed & laughed... ahhh good times with the Gremlin.
