Make sure the schrader valve is tight. Thats the little screw in stem in the valve where you put air in. And hopefully you are using a Harley hand held air pump and not a gas station pump.
No bubbles coming form schrader valve. I am using a small hand help bike pump.
If you are using a bicycle pump you may be losing a lot of air when you remove the hose from the fitting.
The Harley shock pump has a zero loss fitting and you will lose very little if any air when you install or remove the hose.
I suggest you get a Harley shock pump. Money very well spent.
What , you work for HD...
Just kidding, I have seen those and I think , why spend that kinda $ on a pump, makes sense. However, after I remove the pump I checked the psi, pump doesn't have a gauge.
So I just checked psi again, bout 15 mins after filling, may be down a lb or 2, but then every time I check it, that "psstt" that comes out loses a pound or 2 every time...Lol. Must be such a small amount of air in those that any "psstt" is 2 lbs...?
Sometimes you just gotta have the right tool for the right job.
There are hundreds of forum posts trying to get away from buying a Harley pump.
I agree 100% bout the right tools...
Not trying to get away w/o buying one, this is my 1st HD and first time realizing the loss of air and adjusting the psi got 1 up and 2 up riding and figures a bike pump and gauge is just fine...but now I am understanding much differently, had no idea bout a 0 loss pump.
