FLHX windsields
I have tried the Harley Windspitter 7", Long Ride Ultra 7", and the Klock Werks 6.5" Flare. The Klock is it for me. You still get plenty of air with the Klock but its not that buffeting pulsing air. I ride a motorcycle because I like air. I can only describe the air you get with the Klock as smooth quiet air if that makes sense. The air isn't trying to bob my glasses off my nose or make it hard to hear the stereo. Just right for me.
Seems as though the windshields are only a part of the bobble head solution.
Depends on how tall you are, your seat, handlebars, speeds, and perhaps the phase of the moon.
My best results has been with a slightly taller windshield that throws air just at the top of my helmet, combined with fork mounted Harley wind deflectors.

I tried Klock Werks 8.5 which was to tall and distorted my vision. I then tried a Klock Werks 6.5 looked real cool but only some what eliminated the buffeting. Now using a Fastaire 8" Recurve with HD fairing air deflectors.
The fast Aire eliminated 95% of the buffeting but in my opinion doesn't look right on a Street Glide. It was still worth it to eliminate that dam buffeting.
I just recently switched helmets, went from a HD ultra light spoiler helmet, total mushroom type. To the very popular low profile Outlaw. I've already removed the air deflectors and I'm probably going to give the KW 6.5 a go again!
By the way I'm 5'10"
+1 on the Klock Werks 6.5
I'm sure others have had good experience with their choice of windshield, KW is my choice...and I have no other screen on my radar as a second option.
Good luck in your search!!!

I demo'd the 7" windsplitter then the 10" at my dealer and the 10" worked much better for me on my 2012. That's the nice part about the demo program at the dealer is that you can try them out before you buy them - I did the same thing for the seat.
