Got my new bars in and was worried I would have to extend everything. So I took the outer fairing off to see what I had to work with. Well about 3 hours later I was done. I didn't extend a thing and everything works fine. I will however replace the clutch cable and run the wires inside the bars this winter just to make it look nicer. The brake line needs replaced anyway so I'll do that with an extended one but everything else fit perfect. Apes on a budget!
Kenny I did "modify" the brake line a little bit to get it to reach just to test ride it with them on. And I had to reroute the clutch cable but everything else fit perfect. But like I said those two items were on my replace list anyway. The brake line had a tiny leak so that is next up and I'll replace it with a +6 line. I'm the kind of person who hates waiting so I did not want to wait for those parts to be ordered.

I think I'm going to be putting some 10" Wild 1's on my SG soon (I'm only 5'7" so that's all I need). I'm keep reading different things about extending this that or the other.
I just realized you are right up the road from me. I'm in Hilliard.
In my research I've heard you do not need to extend anything to go 10". But that could be wrong. If you need help let me know. It was fairly easy but everyone says the hard part is running the wires in the bars, which I have not done yet. But for my style of bars that still don't seem like a chore.
Almost all of my family lives in Hilliard, that is quite the coincidence.

Great place to live. If you are ever interested in doing a little riding drop me a line.
