So, if anyone remembers my posts about a month or so ago, asking a ton of questions as to what bike to upgrade from my 05 sportster, and a few posts about different ads for bikes, I just got my "new to me" 02 Road King!!
I am phsyched!! I love it. The only things I want to do imediatly are a new seat and bars, and you best believe Ill be starting threads very soon for opinions as Ive already been shopping and narrowed a few things down, as well as a "few" other things Im thinking about. Although Im gona wait till the winter to do anything else.
And what Timing!! Wednesday starts my Vacation. 11 days off of work with nothing to do but spend time with my new bike! Im thinking about a first long ride down to the blue ridge mountains or up towards lake george than up into Montreal. but anyways, Im babbling.. lol Here are the origional pics from the add.. as soon as I get a chance Ill take some new pictures.. these dont do it justice.
The Road King is the most versatile of all H-D's bikes IMHO. It's a stripped down cruiser one minute and 5 min later can be set up like a full-blown bagger with Tourpak, GPS and windshield. I love mine and haven't given even a moment's thought to changing to anything else. It's everything I need or want in a bike. Tunes? Wear a good set of earbuds and you've got outstanding sound.
