Congrats on the upgrade! Yup I went from a SuperGlide to a RoadGlide Ultra last year. You would have to remove my face to take the grin off it.

 

Got my first motorcycle ever in March of this year an 08 Road glide. Never rode before but I'm 6' 4'' to big to start small. $12,000 and only had 1300 miles.

 

I had a bunch of Softys,then decided I wanted something more comfortable. I haven't looked back since.

It's hard to put into words how I feel on my Harley. It gives me confidence, but not cockiness. I know the hazards we face on the road, but the confidence is that the machine under me is reliable, safe and a window to freedom.

I have nothing against the other makes, but nothing matches a Harley for the "it" factor. Other bikes may be faster. Others may be more maneuverable. Others get better mileage. Others brake better. None are better for overall joy of ownership.

Nice mods to your Road Glide. I went from a Dyna to a Road King and can't believe the superior comfort etc! The FXD line is definitely entery level isn't it?
