So, the wife and I load up for a weekend away in Eureka Springs, AR to celebrate birthdays and 27 year anniversary. We are planning for a full weekend of riding through the hills and around the twisty roads and all that the area has to offer. And wouldn't you know it, that dang Harley Ultra ran like a scalded dawg! We had absolutely the best time and our bike gave us nothing but the best it has. I have no complaints what so ever, except that the weekend wasn't long enough. We actually stopped at two different dealerships just to browse and buy a t-shirt or two.
Just thought I would post this up to give a little bit of the flip side.
Glad you enjoyed your trip. I hear there's many great roads there. My wife and I have been on a bunch of weekend trips and a couple of 10 day trips. We love it! Last spring we came down through Arkansas on Hwy 7 and had a great ride. We look forward to going up there again, soon.
Bike almost always performs magnificently. Sometimes there's a problem with it and I get all pi$$ed off but I get the problem taken care of and look forward to the next trip.
I have been through Arkansas many times, but never off of the interstate. Glad you had a great time, and it's always nice to hear no complaints with the bike. Now I just gotta remember to get off the damn highway and explore next time.
Sounds great! Is that your wife in the pic? 27 years? Wow - you marry her when she was 3? Congrats on the long term - not many of us make it that long.
Thanks for all of the kind words fellas, much appreciated. And yes, that is my bride. She is celebrating her 49th today. I will let her know about your kind comment. We bought our first HD back in 04, an 04 FLHTCUI, vivid black. We put about 50,000 miles on that one and we bought this one in May and just on the short side of 5000 today on it. I've told a lot of folks, that even though we have had a great marriage, that is one of the best things we ever did FOR our marriage. Great times!!
