No one has said so , but make sure you have a nice thick sole boot, it makes a big difference, I notice a big difference between my riding boots, and my swat boots.
Thanks for everyones input. Trying to get out of this fairly cheap as I spent all my free cash to seal the deal.Just came from my brotherinlaws to sit on his Roadglide after he put on a badlander seat and blocks that lowered the stock shocks 1 in. (He's a little taller than me). On his bike I was flatfooted with sneakers on so with my riding boots I might even have a little bend in my legs. Try a low profile seat like the HD reach seat and boots with higher heels, like Logger boots. If that doesn't work, then get lower shocks. Lots of folks buying bikes that are way to big and heavy for them these days. Seems to be a trend.
Yeah, I wouldn't sweat it. Back in December '94 I spent a week in a coma from an accident on a new bike. I owned the bike about 15 minutes before I went down.
Good luck getting it lowered, looks like, as always on this great resource, you are getting some great input!

I have a almost new HD reach set for sale..about 500 miles on it. I ended up lowering the rear and that did it, so I went with a custom seat.
