Default are Detach Setup Question

On my 06 Road Glide I am going to add either a chopped or full tour pak which won't stay on all the time so I've got the quick detach kit coming as well. Still deciding on which size TP. I looked into also getting a quick detach backrest for the Mrs when we are jest scooting around. The hardware for the backrest and tour pak are two different stocknumbers on the Moco site. Am I locked into one or the other or will they be interchangeable?

53804-6

Two-Up Tour-PakĀ® or Two-Up Luggage Rack

Fits '97-later Touring models (except FLHTC/I and FLHTCUI).

53803-06

Sissy Bar Upright or Solo Tour-PakĀ® Rack

Fits '94-later Touring models (except FLHTC/I and FLHTCUI). '94-'96 models require separate purchase of Hardware Kit P/N 53660-05 and 53658-05

Thanks!

You need to get them both to do what your talking about. One for the backrest, the other for the our pak (unless you set up the tour pak for solo riding) then thats a whole different story [:@]

Does the solo tourpack set-up use the same docking points as the backrest?

The answer would be yes to your question. There are two different docking systems. Sissy bar and solo tour pack uses one and tour pack for two up is another.

Thanks.

I knew that there were different sets of hardware for the backrest and the two-up tourpack. I installed the detatchable backrest and docking hardware on my FLHXI, so I suppose the solo tourpack rack will attatch to that. And if I want the two-up detatchable tourpack I'll need to install the other docking hardware. Right?
