Default What do I need to install Tour pak??

OK guys I know it has been covered a zillion times.....I did a search and got tired of sifting through all the posts. I want to add a detachable tour pak on my 09 Street Glide. Am I correct that all I will need is the 4 point docking hardware and the pack? Is there one that would allow me to move it close enough for a backrest when solo? Any and all advice/opinions are welcome. I am ready to buy!

Will this one mount the pak for solo only? Will I need to have two mounting hardwares for solo/2up riding?

ya..like shortride said..you need the docking kit, the Tour-Pack itself, AND the Rack or Mount, which attaches under the Tour pack. I believe you will need to buy the Backrest too..the Tour pack doesn't come with the backrest. Don't think there is one mount that allows you to "slide" it back and forth for 1-up, or 2-up riding..I think it will have to be one or the other...but I could be wrong, there might be something aftermarket that allows that..

I doing this project as we speak. I bought the detachable 4 point mount, color matched Tourpak, passenger backrest and lighting for the tourpak. I'm a little pissed that the mount is offered in black, so I guess I'll be powder coating it.

....when you add it all up there are more parts than you would think needed...docking kit-mount bracket-Tourpack-lighting-backrest-and lock kit. Total cost is probably over $1300.00 to do a detachable...Yikes..that's why I bought an EGClassic...wanted the Tour-pack and it was much cheaper getting it stock on the bike...

Thanks again!
