Backfiring question
I have a 2012 SG with a FuelMoto stage 1 (2-1-2 header, 4" Jackpots, RSD air cleaner and flashed with PV). Went for a ride with a neighbor today and he rode behind me the whole way. He claims he heard me backfire a few times but I did not hear anything. I did have my radio on but I can still hear my exhaust. A few questions:
1) Is it possible that my exhaust is backfiring without me hearing it? On my previous ride, I could definitely hear some backfiring on decel but my current ride seems to run perfectly.
2) If it is backfiring, what are the causes and how can I test for backfiring?
Thank you.

Leaking exhaust will allow air into the exhaust stream and cause a backfire. I would start there.
If that isn't the issue then you need to find out when the backfire happens. If it's on decel at 0% throttle position then you may be running slightly lean in that range and have to add some fuel to eliminate the problem.
If that also isn't the issue you will have to datalog a run cycle for fuelmoto to analyze so they can determine the issue, and rectify it.
