Default Advice on gloves please

Well, I did the unthinkable. Left home with the Gore-tex gloves for my trip to Los Angeles. By the time I got to San Francisco, I could not easily remove them from my hands, they were so sweated up.
Now in Vancouver, Canada, it's not a problem 'cause it doesn't get this hot. But I'm returning next week along the PCH, and I get nervous running without hand protection.
I have arthritus, so I prefer a looser fit, and like many of you, prefer a glove that does not bunch.
Anybody have any suggestions? Don't have to be leather, or even riding gloves, but protect my hands even though I ride behind a bat-wing.
Call me nuts, I even ride with chaps, even in this heat, on freeway jaunts.

I usually wear leather fingerless when it is hot because I like being able to do everything with my fingers while riding however some think fingerless gloves are a joke (I don't). I also have leather perforated gloves that work well. Stop at any brand motorcycle shop and you will have a wide selection. I prefer leather.

Try these. http://www.geierglove.com/deerskin.html

I have a pair of the deerskin ropers and they are very comfortable. It's hot here in Texas and I haven't had any issues with sweaty hands wearing these.

They aren't cheap but they are made right here in the U.S.A by a glove company that's been around for a long time.

Good Luck!

In hot weather, I like the HD fingerless gloves. Good quality, nice padding in the palm, easy to get off, and you retain all of your dexterity.
In the winter, I have several pair of full fingered gloves. All leather because of leather's superior abrasion resistance. Palms and knuckles get messed up the most in spills, so make sure you have adequate protection in those areas.
And no, you are not nuts. All the gear all the time is smart. Screw looking cool when it comes to personal protection. If it's too hot to wear the gear, then it's too hot to ride.

I have perforated leather gloves with gel in the palms, rode across Kansas into Colorado 105 to 109 degrees in Kansas and no problems! I wear these and my mesh jacket with the hydration packs in hot weather, I feel more secure with these, I have lost a lot of skin in the past and want to save the rest!

I've worn nomex gloves (flight gloves) for years in warm weather. They have a leather palm, but the backs are breathable. They are quite comfortable in hot weather with the cuff folded up.

I forgot my nomex gloves this summer when I rode across country. I wore my spare pair the entire time. They too, were quite comfortable. I even wore them riding through Utah @ 104 degrees.

They were Aerostich deerskin gloves.

I wore fingerless gloves for 20+ years. Then some road debris, or a bug, or something.... hit my bare finger at 75mph. That left a painful mark. No guarantee that a glove would have helped, and it was in my pre-fairing days, but I've just always worn full gloves since.

Good luck.......
