Finally, Some Relief
Relief to forum members because they don't have to listen to me whine for a while. After spending a year trying to get someone to own up to not doing a job correctly, bugging forum members about possible problems, spending an extra $1,500 chasing the "ghost", I finally got an answer to my lack of power from my Revolution Cycle (Baxter, IA) top end work. Revolution Cycle forgot to port the intake side on both heads...! Can you believe it? Where is the quality control to check the machine work...at least for the obvious?
I have never seen so much finger pointing in my life, telling me that I dyno'd it too early, haven't given it enough time to break in, the mechanic must have put the cams in one tooth off, the mufflers were too restrictive, the PC III USB was not working properly, the fuel delivery system was fouled, the motor was sumping, and I'm a dumb**s. The only thing I will agree with is that I was a dumb**s for not putting my foot down early on to get the bike torn back down and checked out.
When I get the heads back and on the bike I expect a good increase in power to match the rest of the mods. Whew! I was so close to getting a 2013 CVO Ultra and they had to figure it out.
