I wouldn't say it "sticks out like a sore thumb" but it IS a detail that only you can decide if it's worth addressing.
The rear wheel is easy to hide in a photo with the right camera angle. In PERSON, however ... the rear wheel is easy to spot whether stock or extended bags. (Get about ten feet away and there it is.) I've yet to see a bagger in person where I couldn't see the rear wheel with the possible exception of air ride customs that are dropped to the ground when parked.
Many people won't notice but there are a lot of guys like me ... first thing I do when I see a cool front wheel is check the rear wheel. Sorry man. lol
I'd wait till the back tire is worn out. Install the new agitator wheel and tire then sell the chrome rim currently installed. That way you recoup some of your cash. Looks good to me. I'd spend my money on a nice long road trip instead. But it is messing with you or you would not have mentioned it. So swap it out and move on.
I did not read the entire thread but i lol when I read the op.....I had same issue I ended up buying both rims....first day out i pulled up and the first 3 people i showed all looked down to see rear rim.....here the thing...if your asking us if we see it then you dont care for the way it is so buy it and be done......I am happy i did...
