103 engine upgrade/5000 mile service
dealer has the 103 upgrade special installed for $1999
5000 mile service (which I will be needing very soon) is $300
since they will be in the motor will I still need (pay for) the 5000 mile service

You will for everything not involving the engine. I'm not looking at the schedule, but I think the only engine-related item on the 5k-warranty list is an oil and filter change.

Lyn... I could be wrong, but $2k sounds REALLY EXPENSIVE for a bigbore kit.... You could do it yourself for approximately $500.
