I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the other big advantage of the power vision over power commander and other piggy back tuners - the ability to read and clear codes and display all of the diagnostic information, as well as adjust speedo and other useful features. Also, the PV maps correct ignition timing not just fuel mixtures.
+1 on Jamie at Fuel Moto giving excellent support. Thanks!
Sorry to the OP just a quick question. When I bought my 09 SG I added slipons to the stock headpipe and an SE air breather and had the dealer do a Stage I. I have since replaced the exhaust with a D & D fat cat 2-1. Do I need to add a Power Vision and are they easy to use for novice users? Also, is there a discount for forum members?

Do you need a Power Vision - no.
But will it improve the way your bike runs - yes
The Dealer Download was a timing adjustment , still within EPA specs. Adding a MAP change through the PV will add or remove fuel and adjust timing as needed to maximize your performance and cool your engine. My 11 RG had a Dealer down load on it when I gt it because they did it for free. i reflashed the ECM using the Power Vision and one of Fuel Motos Stage 1 MAPs a week after I got it and it was a big difference in performance. MPG and cooler.
The Power Vision is extremely easy to use. a 5-10 minute procedure to reflash your bike with a pre loaded MAP from Fuel Moto.

SO the preloaded MAP just takes into account the exhaust and breather on your bike then loads an appropriate program?
I just got mine last week and tuned my bike over the weekend. Took longer for me to find the data port on the bike than to program. Jamie, put two custom maps on the Power Vision. One for my current setup and one for some upgrades I will be doing in a few months. He even answers emails at Midnight on Sunday. Top notch support in my opinion. The unit works as advertised. It programed the bike in under a minute and has worked flawlessly since. And no, you don't anything to go with it. Just program and then put it up for safe keeping.

I didn't realize it would adjust speedo. Haven't had time to sit down and read all the instructions. Clearly will do much more than I am using it for currently.
