aftermarket inner fairing
Well, I repaired a broken vertical fairing bracket last year and I guess I repaired it to well. Where the bracket attaches to the inner fairing has now broken. It was still barely attached and I used jbweld all around it to hopefully hold it for a while. The bike is a 2001 and I can still get a new inner fairing according to the dealer for 167.00. I see a new aftermarket one on ebay for 115.00. Supposedly, it is made of a stronger material than the OEM. Just wondered if anyone has used an aftermarket one.

I think that I saw the same one on Ebay and wondered the same thing. I would actually like to find one (just the inner fairing) that doesn't have all the gauge, speaker and stereo holes molded and cut out. This would alow me to have a more custom inner that I could build an LCD/GPS into.
