I put HID lights on my Road Glide a couple years ago. They're supposed to be good for about 100,000 hours. Recently, one of the ballasts doesn't light the headlight all the time. I tried switching things around in the fairing, i.e. right to left-left to right hookup to isolate the problem and it is certainly the ballast.
It seems the ballast would either quit early in its life or go on for the long haul. It hasn't been subject to damage as it has been tucked away in the fairing.
Any suggestions or is it just a replace and throw the old one away?
