We all do it, brag about our bikes. This, however, makes me wonder. Why aren't we bragging about our bikes here? The majority of what I see are posts about how to fix this, or, what oil/tires/exhaust/tuner do I need. How about some bragging about how good our bikes are? Like how many miles on the clock with nothing done to it? Or how it handled the last set of twisties that we went through?
Personally, I haven't had my current scoot long enough to rack up a bunch of miles, however, I do feel it's the best bike I've ever owned. She handles like a dream, takes anything I throw at her and just keeps going. Haven't had to do anything to her but change oils and add gas. How about everyone else?
Yup, that's what I have done on my last 3 Harley's. If you are a member of this forum for any length of time, it is easy to become synical(spelling?) I dont know the reason many are negative about the product we are here to talk about, it is what it is. If I felt Harley didnt have the best overall product out there for the money, I would buy something different. I have tried that over the years, but always come back, because I miss 'em.
I don't know if you could call it bragging but this is the best bike I've ever owned. No problems with her at all. I just put on new tires and brakes and I maintain her regularly. I do a ton of reading and it kind of keeps me on my toes looking for potential problems or things that's happened to other riders here but this bike has been a rock. I will keep riding until she's wore out then I'll rebuild her and do it all over again.
You should not have to BRAG about your own scooter, just roll it into the parking lot and let em look or listen, or post a picture here in da forum, and let your scoot speak for itself !!
Ihave been riding Harley Davidson motorcycles for over 24 years, logged easily over 250,000 miles and been left on the side of the road a few times. 1 catastrophic transmission failure on a Sporster, several points failures on the Shovels and a few flats too. I am totally satisfied with the ride and reliability of Americon Icon Harley Davidson Motorcycles.Since 2005 my Dad has logged over 80k on his 2 bikes and and other than flat tires the only failure as been a transmission seal. My baby brother has over 85k on his 2000 Superglide and had 1 major parts failure on cam bearings after he had ger drives installed. They are pretty happy too.
The engine detonated on my 06 Electra glide one night going home from work. Started missing, check engine light, running on one cylinder. I knew it was bad but I wasn't about to be stuck on the interstate @ 8:00 on a cold Saturday night. It kept going, I still don't know how, and took me to my driveway. It's like it knew. I rolled in the driveway and it shut off 3 feet from the garage. Harley came and got it. It was 3 years out of warranty, had 50,000 miles on it. The service manager called his rep I called customer service and a week later I had a brand new, out of the crate motor installed at no charge. Yeah it sucked but they stepped up and handled. Them taking care of me is why I traded it for my 2011. I won't ride anything else.
... or post a picture here in da forum, and let your scoot speak for itself !!
