I have the HD CVO 2011 StreetGlide seat on my 2011 StreetGlide. Love the looks and IMO SUPER comfortable. Drops me down about and inch and back about an inch. Have the matching backrest pad too for the passenger. Bang for the buck it's a great seat!
Looks wise, I like C&C. Comfort wise, I haven't been able to test out other seats cause I don't want to throw money away. But I will say that I can last longer on a C&C than stock
HD Sundowner. This seat for me was simular to stock, biggest plus was for the passenger as it is much wider back there. Nearly a year later, sent it to Mean City for the Narrow/Memory Foam mod work on the Sundowner. While it was gone, we rode the stock seat again, and missed the comfort. When the Sundowner came back - WOW.
That seat is ME - it's not going anywhere.
Oh, and I went with HD Circulator Pads for summer heat - they work well.
The Harley Hammock in one of the best seats out there.
Well worth the money.
I can ride all day in confort and it eliminates the jarring effect when you bottom out.
I really does isolate you from the road.
I tried a C&C solo with gel insert.
Very nice seat and very well made but it just wasn't very comfortable to me.
I just found a company online called ultimate seats that is making a tallboy seat. Anyone running one of these? How does it compare to the mustang?
LS, read previous post by Checkers. Ultimate seats do not compare to Mustang, I have owned Mustang tour seats and they are a good seat for the money. Mustang is not even close as far as comfort. The main reason The Ultimate seats are the most comfortable is they are not waterproof, they breathe and allow your backside to stay dry and eliminate skin stretch, or "monkey butt" Their design and materials are unmatched. If you purchase these seats I suggest you purchase the rain covers to go over the seat in the rain to keep the guts dry.
I have to say the modifications done by Mean City Cycles are the way to go. I have had it done on my old Nomad and now the Road Glide, AWESOME. The Sundowner is a comfortable seat if you like the looks of the big seats..........Not for me!
