Default Is this true

I have a 2012 street glide and i was told if i went with a true duals and i dont change the air cleaner that i dont have to take to harley and have it reprogrammed?

That is true. Even if you do change the ac you don't have to take it to Harley. For less money you can get a tuner and install it yourself. Do some research for tuners.

That would be correct....wouldnt hurt to get a set of xieds from nightrider.com....richen up the mixture a bit. well worth the $100 or so bucks.

Changing the pipes or a/c alone do not require a tune or tuner be added. If both are changed then you'll need a tuner.

Any change to flow in or out of the motor affects volumetric efficiency and requires adjustment to the tune to recover optimum performance.

Your bike is a finely tuned beast, thanks to EPA emissions regulations. If you changed the entire exhaust on a carb bike you would rejet it. If you change the entire exhaust on your lovely new EFI bike, get it retuned! Your EFI is not designed to allow you to make changes, quite the opposite - it is designed to keep your bike EPA compliant. I personally would get my modified SG retuned!

True! I did exhaust work with no tune, bike runs great!!
