Well today I received my Paul Yaffee "Yaxle" and Performance Machine "Extended Jiffy stand"........ Neither one was a success.
My "extended Jiffy Stand" did nothing for the amount the bike leaned to the left. The stand was longer than stock but it only sticks out further and does not raise the left side......
My Yaxle was suppose to be a 25mm as which I ordered and the part number on the label reflects a 25mm but the yaxle would not pass thru my spacers nor my wheel. I checked the diameter with a caliper and the axle I received is 1" diameter.......
This is the second axle that has not worked on my bike in the last two days. I had ordered a flush mount from Drag Specialities and the left side flush end cap had no knurls so it would slide right in.... nothing there to tighten the axle against....
I called Yaffee's place but got no answer. Left a message........
Looks great man! Actually looks like an 18" rear to me, im running the 21/18 combo with metz 880s as well, the bike does lean over a little farther but hasnt been an issue for me.
Thanks! It really is a 17" wheel with a 200/50-17 ME880 tire.
I've had this bike for almost 3 years and yesterday was the first time I've ever burned my leg on the 2n1 pipe. The cause was having to lean it over so much to the left.

I have had bad luck with many of Yaffe's parts over the years. Fenders not fitting, Monkey bars damaged from shipping (3 times). Rear license plate bracket (that takes the place of turn signal bar and taillight) didn't cover the taillight hole, etc etc.
The idea behind lowering the front (which you are probably aware of) is to compensate for the extra height from the 21" wheel and bring the geometry back in to spec. When I did a 21" on my softail I did not lower it for several years and it rode fine but the center of gravity on a bagger is a bit higher than a softail thus some people are uncomfortable with the added height at slow speeds. When I did lower the front end 1" it rode a little better. I FI were adding a 21" to a bagger I would go ahead and lower it and put some Progressive springs, Ricor Intiminators, and some of our smooth lower legs. The smooth lowers are rounded and sleek and the axle threads in to the right side leg on teh inside so that you cannot see it from the outside. On the left side it sits flush with a round smooth chrome cap over it. There is really nothing else out there that is as clean. They come in single and dual disc versions in black or chrome for baggers. Here is what the smooth lowers look like.
Thanks for your business and the bike looks great! You can't go wrong with a 21 17 set of wheels on a bagger. If it were me I would not bother with a longer kickstand, but that is just me. As far as a hidden axle, we have Renegade Hidden axles.
