You guys crack me up that look at their fairing while they are riding.
I look at where I want the bike to go and it usually goes there.

Holy sh*t you got to ride 7 bikes at your demo days?? Man, youd be lucky to ride one here on our demo day, and chances are, it wouldnt be the one you really wanted to ride. I guess since our dealer is the only one between lake erie, and lake ontario, and from the Niagara river, too London, youve got a large customer base.

I still think the Fugly is Fugly. I've never riden one and am afraid I might actually like it more than my Ultra. It 's sooooo fugly though!!! Admittedly, when all customized, they do start to look a little cool. I just don't have that kinda money and it'd likely take to much rideability out of it.

Yes, seven bikes in one day, it was like an orgy of bikes! LOL

I made sure that I was the very first person at the sign-up table and the line-up formed soon after I took my spot. I chose the Road Glide Custom because I had a hunch that a lot of folks would be curious to try out these odd ducks.

I then signed up for a Street Glide, then an Electra Glide Limited, then a Road King.

In between these rides on the Touring bikes, I'd position myself next to bikes that didn't seem to have a rider next to it, hoping that when the Harley girl would make her way down to thoses bikes, she'd yell out "I have this Softail Slim (for example) available if somebody wants it". I'd be right there with my riding gear on and the Harley pink registration form all ready to go.

I got on a Softail Slim, a Fat Bob and a Super Glide by doing the old sniping trick. When I sniped the Fat Bob it was late in the afternoon and there weren't as many people there, all of a sudden it was announced that the Road Glide Custom wasn't taken and nobody was jumping on it, so the road captain set his own Electra Glide aside and tried it out for himself. I would have taken it out a second time had I had the chance.

There were quite a lot of people at our demo days but I find that if you really hustle and don't stop for lunch or coffee and just keep an eye open for bikes that haven't been taken, you can get a lot more rides in. But seven in one day has got to be my own personal best for sure! ;>)

EXACTLY! FatBoy for 2 years, test ride on the RGC, absolutely amazing. I test drove a brand new Street Glide immediately beforehand. Got off the SG, jumped on the Road Glide, which had the better ride and feel, though both were close. The bars on the Street Glide felt a little more normal though. Road Glide gave me the sense of "openness" that I liked on my FatBoy and yet has a full fairing. Very fine engineering. It is also true as you said: after 100' of riding, one does not notice the fixed fairing thing. HOWEVER, for the first 100', I thought I forgot how to ride a motorcycle! It was like...which way do I turn these bars???

I hear you I used to think the RG was beyond FUGLY, but I have to admit it is growing on me. I want to ride a RG.
