Rollin the dice
As I watch my V&H dresser duals make there way accross the country via UPS Website with an ETA or tomorrow I decided to roll the dice and assume that they will be here on time and correct. I figure to streamline this process and make it more likely that after they are on I can get a local run intomorrow night to try them out let's get it started today. Through out the day today as it is raining off and on, and I work from home, I have made several trips from my office to the garage and have just returned from the last trip and the stock head pipes are off along with the V&H Turn down slip ons thatI already had on. Now from reading some of you all's posts I have the more dificult and time consuming part out of the way. Overall getting the stock exhaust off wasn't that bad with the exception of some of the tight areas caused by the cross over pipe, and I think it was more stress free (other than smashing my thunb knuckle on the cylinder head fin, nice deep cut) doing it in small parts over a 5 hour stretch.
I'll give an update after they are on and maybe even try to jump on the latest trend in here of video taping them so other can hear em as well.

Yup. Hard parts done. The rear exhaust bracket to the tranny/starter is a TIGHT fit...be patient. Also, I had to use the stock pipe clamp on the transmission bracket. Couldn't get the V&H one throught the bracket. Other than that, easy install.
