Just purchased a 2013 r g custom and wife is hot. Says i have no tail light. I know the turn signals are the brake lights also but has any one ever added a regular tail light above the light bar. Is there some place that it would plug in. My hd dealer does not seam to know much execpt labor is $89.00 an hour and every body there gives you a different price. Had a fiasco with them puting the street glide rear facia and light on my 11 rg ultra.
Many of the new model HDs are running with the Bullet T/S Type lights as the rear lighting. personally I think they stand out more than the single big light on the fender. But you could add this Center Mount Light it is plug and play HD Part http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US
Thanks i saw that. Wonder how much light it puts out? There must be a place to plug it in that a traditional light could plug into. Would like to have the bright *** tail light. Had one on my 07 rg but did not help when i was run over. Scary riding here in fl.
Planning on paying the a visit during biketober fest. They will be at speedway. Bought super brite bulbs at j&p cycles. They are a little briter. Wife says she will sue hd when i get rear ended.

I'd be checking my tail lights everyday! Sounds like she looking for a big payoff upon your demise! LOL!
yeah, good luck with that. hd is in full compliance with dot regulations, otherwise they would not be able to sell the bikes this way.
now, just to make sure that things are working the way they are supposed to, when you turn your ignition on, do your taillights (or turn signals) light up steady? or is it completely dark back there? if they light up steady, you're good.
you have a few options (with bal not being one of them, yet). the route i took was to add the tri-bar upgrade run/brake module. makes that lower light on the fender act as an aux brake light. i also added the custom dynamics 'magic brake light flasher'. makes my brake lights (including the tri bar) flash 4 times, then go steady. then flash 4 times, go steady, repeating as long as i hold the brake lever.
I don't like the looks of the Custom Dynamics Plasma Rods , I put the Kuryakyn light above the tag and their LED Taillights and then added Custom Dynamics Truflex 45 LED'S on my filler panel along with their Magic Strobe , when you hit the brakes they go wild for 6 seconds then solid

I'd be interested to see how you did the CD Truflex in your filler panels.
