Ok I got an 04 EG im going to street glide it. Now I need to some help with paint and handle bars.

Thinking of going flat black but keeping the chrome for some contrast. Or maybe someone has a different color in mind I'm open to all opinions.

Also I'm wanting to go with 10-12 apes. Do I go with classic or MBB or Primeapes style.

Hopefully I will be able to start the project in January and have it completed before riding weather starts.

I'm confused on why people ask other people that in reality they don't even know what color they should paint their bike or what windshield design or what type of handle bars. It's your bike. Not ours. Do what makes you warm and fuzzy.

 

Well i got the windshield thanks for asking. I guess im just at that custom block. Not sure which bars to choose or what paint. Was just getting some opinions to spark something up. thanks

 

Color is your choice, what jumps out at you when you see it? As for the bars, I will suggest you get a seat first. The ride height of the seat will be a factor in the height of the bars. As for the style, that is also personal preference and budget driven.

I went with the Yaffe classic bagger apes mainly due to the price. $99 compared to almost $400 for the monkey bagger bars. I also went with the 10" so I wouldn't have to change any cables or brake lines, again more of a budgetary decision.

How would I know what color you like?!?!? I like purple, but I'm in a minority in that preference. I also don't like the look of apes on a bike with a fairing, but again, I may be in the minority. Make the bike your own, not what you think other people think you should do.

But what really confuses me is is your reference to "riding weather." You live in Mississippi, for God's sake! It's ALWAYS riding weather in MS! I'm way north of you in Virginia, and ride 12 months a year here.

 

Black cherry mica like on the new street glides looks great along with a set of gloss black bars

 

Flat black with chrome for contrast, (skulls maybe).
I saw a bike like that once....and then I saw it again and again and again.
What about doing something different. Maybe green or blue. Red is nice. Purple could be a good choice you won't see many like it.

Apes.....is there any other style of bars out there?
