Well I can see these fourms are a waste of my F#@^ing Time. Thanks for nothing.
Easy big guy. We're just having a little of fun. If you've been lurking on here for any time at all, you'd know that with an open end question like that, guys are gonna have a little fun and someone will eventually get serious. It's nothing personal.
Oh kiss my *** ! The op writes in with some lame question about squealing from the rear end, I think most figured he was just being funny. Somebody thats got a bike since 2001 and presumably longer should know what basics to check for before going on a forum and asking people like you, that is people with no sense of humor and no real knowledge of bikes other than what you read in 8th grade shop class.
Go help some ole lady across the street, will ya !!
Welll, yeah. He's got 15 posts and all of them are dealing with a noise coming from the rear of his bike. A really jokster posting here, right drukanfu?
Hey drunkanfu-ck I have checked all the basics from belt tension, aligment, worn belt.Did the belt soap test, cracked motor mounts,Rubber bushings, and exhaust brackets, exhaust tension,Swingarm bearing, and a few other things that you wouldn't understand.Rather then take it to the shop I try workin on my own Ride.I've been riding Harley's while you were still shittin Yellow brudder. But even the most experienced Riders get jammed once in a while. That's why these fourms were put in place.
Had something like that happen on my old bike the first time I adjusted the belt..
I know you already said you've checked the belt tension... so probably doesn't actually apply to your situation ....
but in my situation... I adjusted the belt to the specs in the book..... when it got hot it would kind of whine... squeal... high pitched maw... what ever you want to call it. Mainly when I let off.... I had to run the belt with the Ultra Classic tension instead of the Street Glide tension......
I would be taking a close look at the wheel bearings. I had one going out that I couldn't hear unless riding next to the K-rails on the highway. Don't rule the simple things out. That's usually what bites us in the ***. Don't mind the sarcasm. That's what makes us diff. from cagers.
Thanks Guys for the feedback.Leaning towards the wheel bearing myself now.Nothing ****s up my head like a problem I can't fix. No disrespect intended.Ridin 'em like ya stole 'em. L&R Big Gus
See there?! These forums are good for something. I know how frustrating it is when you have a problem and just need some straight up advice, and you get jokes. There are other places on the webz that have far less drama, and maintain a much more serious atmosphere. But, they are not nearly as fun. Glad you found the problem. Now go ride!
