So, a couple of months ago I bought my RGC.... had the stage 2 done blah blah blah..... Now the good part......
The ride was "unstable" at higher speeds. When I got on the interstate I pretty much couldn't hold the thing straight... was getting blown all over the lane.. just kind of floated where it wanted to go...... with the wife and a luggage bag on there it would shake and shimmy and twist and float..... you get the idea.... so, finally got a chance to get it turned in the other day.... (was waiting on the dyno to get fixed so they could tune it also and just do a one time down with out the bike). So, they tuned it and adjusted the neck bearings.... got about 80% of the wiggle out..... so took it back in yesterday.... they said since I brought it back for the second time..... they had to contact Harley and let them tell what to do........... so.... is anybody else having some handling problems with the new style frame?

Are you just feeling the effect from the frame mounted fairing and wind conditions or does it happen all the time? What you're describing doesn't sound like what some have described since you're just riding down the road. I cruise at 80 mph often, speed limit here is 75 and the bike is very stable. For the most part unless I'm really pushing the bike (90+ mph) it tracks like it's on rails. With the Tour-Pac mounted I can feel the effects of crosswinds more but nothing I find unusual considering the extra height and weight of the Tour-Pac. Sorry I don't have an answer to your problem and I'm assuming your bike is in good shape.
There was a TSB on the Fall Away for the newer FLTRs be sure that your dealer is using the new setting. Also check for cupping on the front tire some of the 11 and 12 were having those issues.
Nah, not just a little wind push... I know the feeling of that... the VTX I had and my 07 SG would get some of that.......... this thing has actually shaken back and fourth a good two inches and had the feeling like the back end was going to pass the front at the same time. But only did it in open areas where there was enough wind to cause a problem.... and stay the heck away from big trucks...... on the city streets it just feels a little loose... kind of hard to explain but ... the closest I can describe it is going from an old Honda with bias tires to a new bike with radials... how it takes nothing to move the line you are taking around... only it almost does it on it's own.... all you have to do is bobble your head one way or another and it's going that way....
Before the first adjustment.... I could be riding down the interstate and a side wind hit, the back would push over to which ever side the wind was blowing.. then the front would follow... and it would be back and fourth everywhere on top of the ultra loose feeling....
The dealer said with the new frames they are having to adj a little tighter than before, so I think they have the right spec on that......
No problems with the tires.. been inflated properly and only has 2400 miles on it. (well..... no visible problems should I say)... doesn't have any vibration like out of round or tire separating
I'm just wondering if anybody else has had the problem and what they FINALLY figured out it was......

I just bought a new RGC. It to has a wobble. Took it back to the shop with 600 miles on it. They tightened the steering down. This morning it started to shake again 1300 miles on it now. Mine shakes when I am slowing down for a stop. About 30 or 40 mph with hands of the bars it will shake out from under you.
My 2010 never had any head-shake and my new 2013 hasn't either. As XARAN stated, there's a service bulletin on new-frame RGs so take her to the dealer, have them check the fall-away, and tighten head as required.

You might try checking tire pressure and look for evidence of tread "cupping" (scollops - uneven tread block height front to back). The new "dunflops" are getting a pretty bad reputation for this (both front and rear). I hope this helps.
Doubt it has anything to do with the new frame, all the touring models share the same frame. It more than likely is because of the frame mounted fairing.
no its the frame mounted fairing i had a 08 and i have a 2011 RGC never had this issue on any of my bikes. i have talk to people about it and its the fall away head bearings are either to tight or to loose. u can check that by doing the swing away on your front end.
