I found that regardless of height of the rider, the Harley reach bars tend to be the most comfortable for all sizes of riders that have been on the wife's bike. Another option although a bit pricey are the horizen bars. Have heard nothing but extremely posative feed back from riders who have purchased them. http://www.spoiledbiker.com/heliharley.html

Spent time checking out bars at stealer today.....
Sat on RK that had apes, not a good fit for me.
Heritage bars not a good fit.
They measured me and they had a set of wild one chubbies and that seemed to be pretty close to 3" rise over stock and about 2-3" back.
Glad I was sitting down when they quoted me install with all the lines,fluids,gaskets
,adjustments etc., $ 1450.00. Wow......
I am home now sipping a Pendleton getting through the price, for another $1,400 I can get LASIK eye surgery !
My ride just isn't as comfortable as I feel it could be, bars will need to wait until Springtime.
Got TW222 cams going in next month though.
Sat on RK that had apes, not a good fit for me.

1.25" Heritage bars will allow you to do internal wiring and no cable change required...Im leaning toward these

Do it yourself!!! The parts are 400.00 at worse. There are a ton of us that will help you if you have issues. I will even give you my phone number for the "phone a friend" option. It is not that tough...

I've got a 06 FLHRI and went with harley's fat bars. Required purchasing new risers, isolators, and cover. More expensive to do than using the aftermarket fats with the stepped down areas at the risers, but to me (read ****) it's the right way to switch to fats. Ran all the switch wiring internally, and got away without replacing any cables. Book said I needed a longer brake line, but after the one ordered turned out wrong, I just carefully straightened out the brake line's metal tube some to follow the handlebar, and that gave me the extra I needed. Happy with result. Bars are more comfortable riding than stock, no shaking/vibrating at idle with hands off, and looks cool. Believe they're the same as earlier cvo road king.
