Default Kompressor Heads?

I was considering buying a set of 17044-08 Kompressor Heads for a '00 FLTRI. Are they just milled down for higher compression '06+ stock heads? Anybody run these? What would I get besides emblems?

Near as I can tell, they're a $600 deck job. You could easily get meaningful performance mods done by a reputable head porter(including decking to whatever CR you need, as well as matching the chamber volume) for $600. It won't have that cool SE tag on it, but they'll damn sure perform better!

Can't comment on those heads- but i do own a bike with milled heads.

This can cause issues when fitting other motor parts because the dimensions on the motor have changed- the height of the motor and the distance between the intake ports.

you have to run adjustable pushrods and intake seal has often been an issue for me. Even the carb mount had to be altered from a "standard" design to fit.

this is on my '88 FXRP, factory milled the heads .060"

to just raise compression, I think a hi-comp piston would be smarter- and less permanent

That's what I thought. In the catalog there is no mention of larger valves or any kind of port work. I was considering them because you can get them for $474 at Lakeside Harley.

I am running Kompressor heads with acr's. SE 103 forged pistons. SE 255 cams and SERT. This comes out to 10.5 Compression Ratio. Runs extremely strong. Will have dyno tune done next week and I'll share the numbers with you.

Default ccp must be high

Not sure how great a tune your gonna get with 11:1 comprressin with 255 cams i dont know the head volume cc but with my mva heads at 95cc 10.5:1 pistons and 255 cam i think i was around 210 ccp and had a real compression number with guage of 245LBS WHICH IS WAY TOO HIGH FOR GOOD TUNING builders have told me for best tuning ccp shout be 180-185 i change out my cam after a roller on lifter pitted to andrews 32 and now have ccp of 187and real compression of 205lbs bike turns over much better and feels alot smoother while it runs i could feel every compression stoke when the 255 was in this combo i did get 100 hp and 107 torque with the 255 and head combo i dont seem to have the torque i used to but i dont think the crank bearings would have lasted as long with compression that high im on a tablet at work right now and cant get se catlog to pullup another post says cc for kompressor head is 76cc not sure of how many cc the piston pop up bet your even higher than my build was im guess your ccp is up over 250

Default lmao

why dont u explain all the specs the guy posted in the post and give me your expert take on all the numbers real compression may have not been the right way to explain a simple compression check with a guage just to see the difference a cam change made, and a good way to check if i had equal pressure in the cylinder after the job. and the change of cams did give a very different feel to the motor as it ran. good to see people have good constructive thoughts in helping people understand the technical side of how different part effect a build and what combination go better with some than others. guess ill leave helping people up the the real experts in here from now on
