Default 2013 Roadglide

Need some help, right now I own a 2009 softtail custom and I am thinking about trading it in for a 2013 roadglide. What is the best true dual exhaust system and which tuner. Also is there anything I should know about this bike. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advanced.

I am on my 3rd RG now so I have some insight into them.
The new frame headers are a good setup as it. The CAT's are in the header pipe just behind the 02 sensors, Not hard to remove if you chose to down the road.
There is no real reason for aftermarket headers.
Tuner just depends on how far you plan on going with the bike. If your just going good stage 1 almost any of them will do.
The RG custom short wind shield in my book is worthless to short you may want to Demo something a bit more realistic at the dealer.
Some riders find the engine guard mount air deflectors a plus some do not.
PN 57000063.
RGC seat is ok for one up but may not be the best two depends on passengers size.
All RG's have a bit of any issue over time with the rubber strip between fairing inter and outer and wind shield molding. A cheap rubber molding from any parts store is a great fix.
Some riders find they need mirror extension.
Weather the RGC or the RGU they are great touring bikes that are fun to ride.
The RGC has 1 inch lower shocks than the RGU.
Many are happy with the bars ,however some find they want a bar that is just a bit higher. But things like seat and bars are very personal hard to make that call for anyone else. If you chose to add tour pack with detachable mount to the RGC it is easy to do.
The ABS IMO is worth while and mine has work Flawlessly.
Owned my share of HD's and put a lot of miles on them . The RG and RGU are
are the only touring bike I will look at any more .
Waiting on my 2013 RGU in RED to be delivered and I should be able to ride it by first or second week of October.
I believe the frame mount faring saved my tail August 30th. When I hit a deer at 60mph dead on it put most of the force to the frame instead of all of it on the front end.
Demo one It will grow on you fast.

I rented a RG for a week and enjoyed riding it. I'm sticking with my RK for now, but I do see a RG in my future. As for "best" exhaust I think you'll find that there are many options and what's best for one person may not be best for you. Same with the tuner. I recently got a Dynojet Power Vision and it's the best tuner for me because of the ease of use and the fact that I can use it on multiple bikes.

smitty901 - Really nice input.

OP - I have V&H headers and V&H High Outputs on my 2012, along with the V&H fuel pack. It's the perfect combo......FOR ME. I do think that smitty901 is right though, the stock headers are fine once you remove the cat. That baby runs HOT. Remove that, and it's likely as good as what I have. I in fact would have done that, but on the way to Sturgis this summer, with the cat giving me second degree burns on the back of my right thing after two days of riding through the desert, I was looking for immediate relief when I got to Sturgis. I would have otherwise done a cat removal and saved a few bucks.

Good luck with your decision.

Not sure about the "best" exhaust, but for True Duals you can do a lot worse than Reinhardt's.
I was just learning how a 2:1 pipes gives more low end torque and with these heavy bikes it is good to have that extra punch in the take off and lower end so I was thinking of going with a 2 into 1 this time around to check it out.

Anyway I have been over at baggers.com and they have some great venders with exhaust, Dragos is pretty well liked and I hear lots of good things.

Cool

Had an 07 rg . Got totaled. Had an 03 rk traded for 11 rg ultra. Liked it but do not do trips any more. Was really to much bike for me with the riding i do and since being nearly killed wife does not go and i don't blame her. Sold it and was going to wait for 13's. But ran up on a 12 rk cheap. Thought i would just keep it. Beauitful bike but could not stand it. Traded for a 13 rg custom and love it. I put on rear docking hardware with back rest and luggage. May get atour pak later if we start going on trips again. The windshield is nothing on custom. I put on a klock works 12inch dark smoke. I put the same one on the 11rg ultra. I can not stand the bat wing faring. To close. I would not spend any money on the engine up grades. I have had 5 harleys including a v-rod. 103 has plenty of power for any thing you want to do. And you will not recoupe any of your money. No matter what you some one will run off and leave you.

To the OP,
I purchased my BBP FLTRX about a month ago. I have V&H Monster Ovals, Power Duals, and Fuel Pack on mine. I am very satisfied with performace and sound. But I like the V&H sound over other options. Best of luck.

Default MGS True Duals

MGS True Duals are getting great reviews. They are running a special while they last. $1089.00 for pipes and mufflers, Ness Big Sucker and Power Commander V. They really make HP and sound great. There are many reviews on this board.
