I'm upgrading my 2007 Streetglide and test rode the Fugly, decided another Streeter was for me but both are nice bikes for sure.

But I am leaning towards the SG, like the way it looks.

That was a big part of my decision as well.

Hey some guys marry ugly girls!!! Don't worry about it . It is all good and they are both super bikes but i would thank twice about spending a lot of money on engine up grades. Ride safe.

I bought a Street Glide earlier this year love it. Wish I did not test ride a Road Glide recently. Now in the process of converting my Street Glide to a Road Glide. Will be cheaper for me to do than to trade it in.

Personally I think the harder choice is picking between the Ultra or custom styles of either bike. It's a tough decision because they are really identical as far as I'm concerned. You have been reading a lot about how one rides better than the other, but my experience is they are both pretty close to the same. Both will require windshield changes to fit your personal style of riding and maybe the seat as well, so don't let that sway you.

I think it will come down to how you feel the day you pick the bike. Will you be in a batty mood, or sharky? Doesn't really matter, you will love the ride. And both have the same resale value, so if you get tired of the one, go get the other. That might be where I am, maybe it's time to trade in my SG for a RG. But then, maybe not. I'll see how I feel tomorrow morning. Love my SG, great bike. But then that RG Ultra I rode the other day sure was fun. Not a better fun, just a new fun. Hmm, should I ask the wife?

I have both a Batwing (E-Glide) & Road Glide. The E-Glide has been ridden once sense getting the RG in June. I will never own another Batwing but, I've said for years I'd never own another black bike too! LOL!
I really like the RG much more!

Generally people will defend their choices. If they but an SG then often (not always) they will bash the RG, and of course vice versa. I have owned both. They really don't seem all that different to me in the way they handle but maybe I just don't know enough to tell. I'm not bashing anyone's choice, they both have pluses and minuses. Once at speed, however, they seem to me to handle very similarly. You do not turn your bars around corners (except at parking lot speeds), wind did not cause me more issues on the batwing. As others have said ride them both.
