Input needed for Hitch

Thanks Hunter - I wish it would fit though - I have an '11
I've been running a hitch from this company on both my 97 Roadking and now my 11 Ultra. Excellent quality. The company is located in my home state so I just drove there and they installed it right away. I bought the Excell 17 cf Cargo Trailer from them also.
Here's the link to the hitch. http://www.jdtrailers.com/catalog/i4.html

How do you like your trailer? I'm thinking either the Harbor Freight tag along or building a single wheel. Those look like a great setup though.
It's great. Serves as the wife's suitcase. Actually, at 17cf I can put a full sized suitcase right between the wheel and I've got plenty of space for my stuff along with helmets, raingear and cleaning stuff for the bike. Fully loaded I can't feel it behind the bike. Trailer doesn't sway back and forth at all. It has a floating axle which I think helps alot with how the trailer rides. We take alot of weekend trips and have used it on a weeklong vacation down in Sandbridge, VA. Wouldn't want to do it any other way. It's nice to simply open up the trailer, grab the suitcase and some soft handbags and were unloaded for the night. Emptys the saddlebags and tourpak so the bike's not loaded down. The only thing you have watch is to make sure you don't have to little tongue weight but you don't want too much either. Try to get a decent weight distribution on both sides of the axle.
Good luck with your search. If you not to far away from this dealer I would really recommend the trip. If you call him ahead of time he will start first thing in the morning installing your hitch and by noon you'll be on your way home with your new trailer wired up perfect to your bike. There's a car dealer right in town that has made arrangements to do the temporary license plates.
