Bought my first ultra cvo 2012 model but can't find any info on how to remove the tour pack"quick detach" is there any help out there?
I don't believe the standard issue is quick detach...you'll need to puchase the 4 point docking hardware, and the TourPak mounting plate for the docking hardware. I'm not certain if there are additional parts required.
My Harley dealer said quick detach would not work with cvo models because of the amp mounted under the pack, my response was if this was a problem y can't it be relocated or replace amp and speakers with an aftermarket system that can be relocated. Harley had no response!! I know what it takes to remove the tour pack on a regular ultra, just hate to spend money on something that won't work.
My dealer told me the same thing when I was looking at a cvo this year, he said the service dept wouldn't even try and make the tour pak removable due to the amp... That's not saying it can't be done and I could of swore I've seen a thread on here somewhere about how to do it. Good luck

Is there an amp under your Tour Pak? I know the CVO Ultra's had them in the past.
Move your amp and it can be done.
I believe I remember reading that the input from the radio runs to the amp under the tour pak and if the amp is disconnected you lose your radio. I'm sure it could be rewired but I'm not sure what that would do to any factory warranty. That other forum has some post of those who have done what you are talking about. Sounds like a big job.
