Default Don't know what's been done...

I posted this in the tech section. Seeing if it'll get exposure here...

Hey guys. I bought this 2003 Electra Glide Classic FI with a TC88. I'm also new to Harley and have been doing a crash course since I bought the bike.

I'm trying to figure out if this has a stage 1 or what. I know it has Slip ons, but I don't see a manufacturer stamped on the pipes anywhere. I also pulled the AC cover off and it doesn't look stock to me, but I only know what I see in my service manual.

Pic of the AC. I notice there is no plastic backing, I think. Sorry about my finger, I'm an idiot.

Here's another pic of trying to get behind the AC looking toward the front of the bike.

And lastly, here is a pic of the slip ons. The only info stamped on there is the typical warnings and a number.

Anyways, I hope someone can tell me what I've got here. Thanks in advance.

Well that's a different breather and different mufflers. Take off the seat. Is there a tuner sitting there visible.
Hard to say what's been done. If there aren't any issues with how it runs I suggest leaving it alone.
Don't waste any money on a dealer download. It's an EPA approved tune, which means it's going to run the same a/f ratio, which may or may not be too lean, depending on which forum expert you talk with.

The first thing you need to check is the condition of the cam chain tensioners. There will be a lot of info here and on Google. There is a definate life span on these and results are BAD if they fail.

well the different breather and slipons are the stage one from what I understand but you may or may not have it retuned , you can take the seat off and see if someone has put a aftermarket tuner on it or take it to a dealer and they can put it on there laptop and see what program is in it , took my wifes bike in and had it checked after I put duals on it and they checked it for free , and all ready had the stage 1 download in it

The assumption could easily be made that with the slip ons and ac that it either has a tuner or a download. Stage 1 complete. Enjoy!

Yeah, there's no tuner under the seat. I haven't pulled off the side cover to check if they put one there. The bike runs great (knock on wood). The plugs look fine and the bike runs so smooth I assumed there it was stock. I'm well aware of the tensioners. I might check them over the winter, but am only keeping the bike for next season. I'm gonna upgrade to a newer one next winter.

From the looks of your exaust color (black) your plenty rich if not too rich. Looks like you've got a download or tuner one to bump the mixture richer. I'd ride it like it is if it's running well and with your plans of upgrading.

Thanks for the info guys. I'll check out the wild pigs slip ons, just so I know what's on there.

I would so that you're right! Peace of mind now. Now since I'm at work I have to wait until I'm off at 1am to check under that right side cover! I hate not knowing.
