Well I traded in my 2009 Streetglide for a left over 2012 Roadglide.
What really happened was I just returned back from Sturgis with a front end wobble in the turns, that 3 different HD dealerships couldn't find a cause for, and had to do a 30K service. I brought the bike to my usual dealership and while they were taking a look at the wobble I browsed the showroom and got talking to a sales guy I know. He was telling me about a RG they did up with a lot of black and when I looked at it I knew this was half way to where I wanted to be. After a great trade in price for the SG and a lower than usual price on the RG, due to it being a left over and the work they had done wasn't appealing to the chrome crowd, I left with the RG. two weeks after I purchased it I went ahead and put in cams and blacked out the majority of the motor. The bad part is I had knee surgery so my new bike has 300 miles on it, only about 20 on the new cams, and all I can do is sit and look at it. Hopefully soon I'll be able to strip the rest of the chrome off for powder coating. At least that way it will be fairly done when I'm cleared to ride again.
On a side note I removed some parts off the Streetglide and placed them in the classified section. Stuff like the rear light, PCV with auto tune and a few other things.
post up some pix of the new ride, sucks to have a new bike and cant ride it. im sure there are some members on here in your area will gladly break it in for you if you need them too lol
