Can't wait for Biketoberfest to get here, so I can finally upgrade it. I was ready to do it during bike week this year, but a flat rear tire had me looking to upgrade the wheels first.
so now on to the tunes!
I bought the lowers back in March from the stereo guy that will be doing the install (Pete @ Soundz Customz)
we decided to go with this set up
4 x Focal 165KRC & Arc Audio Amp
I have heard the set up on actual bikes that he has done (and one key component is that most have been with the HK factory head unit)
I hate trying to listen to a system on a bike and it's an aftermarket head unit so you really don't know how it will sound on your bike (unless you are upgrading the HU also)
just excited, wanted to share, going to have a really fast and shiny boom box soon!
Is your intake going to be in the way of the Lowers?
They make two versions of the Heavy Breather. One normal one and one with a shorter tube for use with Lowers.

Yep and I even have the shorter filter also and they still don't fit so I ordered the SE Ventilator last week to replace the SEHB
Sux cause I love the look of the SEHB but I want to enjoy my music at any speed so off it comes
so in preparation for the new stereo system as mentioned above I ordered the SE Ventilator and put it on with my freshly painted lowers this weekend
since the SE heavy breather was already on my bike when I got it I had not a clue as to what was involved in taking it apart, but a few screws later and we were good to go.
So I installed the new ventilator after cleaning off some old gasket material from the TB and all is good!
put the lowers on and now we are just a few days away from getting those lovely sounding K2's from Focal installed with the ARC amp and I will be a happy boy going down the road!
as always, here are some pics for your bike **** guys and gals out there
I do think the black vent was the way to go, the chrome one just didn't seem like it would be as nice on my bike.
and a panoramic shot since I was playing with my iphone 5
are you using just 1 Arc Audio amp for both pairs of Focal speakers??
I am getting ready to do that level IV system from Pete at soundcustomz also this winter but was contemplating the Arc Audio 4 channel amp instead, as I might add vented lowers later on, or 2 - 2 channel amps, 1 amp for each set of Focals.
