Default Rear lowering kit

Anyone put a lowering kit on the back of their Road King? It's just a little too tall for me. Thanks

The best way to lower the rear on your bike is to buy stock harley shocks that are one inch lower. This way you do not screw around with the geometry of the rear which alot of people do when they just put those rubber blocks in.

The answer to your question is that Yes, they do, although I wouldn't. If it is only a little too tall I suggest you take the time to get used to it! Wear good quality riding boots to give you a good footing and ride!

I moved to shorter HD air rides dropping from 12" to 11", and taller cycle boots.

You don't want to "get used to it" being too tall. Safety wise you should be able to put both feet down flat on the ground when seated.

Some also get different seats or have theirs reworked. Lowering your seating position and moving slightly forward gives you safe control of your ride!

WARNING: My ride originally had the lowering blocks and both air shocks were damaged do to the changing angle, and unusual repositioning. One shock the whole bottom mount broke away due to those lowering blocks.

I bought the blocks to see if the 1" drop was what i was looking for. It worked fine but i went and bought the shorter shocks as the angle changes - and that cannot be right .....??
Might be worth the 20 bucks to see if the drop is what you need.

I am short . I had my seat lowerd and narrowd buy MeanCity Cycle . very thrifty total cost just under $150 .Including shipping both ways.

I had a cobbler make my boot heels and soles thicker .

This might take care of it fore you ..

I also got some 11" Bitchin Bagger Drop Shocks theses are stock shocks cut down ..

I aslo put a wedge thingy on my kick stand mount because the shorter shocks made the bike stand up to straight .The wedge kit got it to lean over the right angle on the kickstand way cheaper than buying a shorter kickstand .

I also had trouble getting the kick stand up and down .. i got the HD kickstand exstention $30.

My 2012 EG wasn't comfortable for me after stepping up from a 2008 Heritage so I went with the HD Low Profile 12" Shock Kit & the Low Profile Front Lowering Kit. It definitely lowered the bike but the ride was a little too harsh for me so I went back to the original shocks and frt fork springs. Sent seat to MCC and had it modified, for me that worked. In fact I have my Frt & Rear Kits for sale in the HD classifieds. My weight 185 lbs & 30" inseam.

I have the la chopper kit...it is top of the line!!! Does not change the geometry of the shocks, and they do not rub like some of the cheaper kits. I would highly recommend them.

1" drop blocks on mine. No problems for me, also C&C fastback seat, gotta be 2" inches lower than stock at least. Im 6'2", works fine for me.
