I went ahead and ordered a Sony radio from biketronics to replace the HK
in my 08 street glide. I thought it was chicken$hit that nobody at Harley said anything about the handlebar cap screws hitting the bottom of the HK. And when your fairing brackets break, it damages the radio by cracking one of the boards on the bottom. I found out about it on this forum where there is alot of posts about it. If I had known I would have replaced the fairing mounts sooner and maybe I could have saved my HK.
